Healthcare does not always happen in a clinic.
Sometimes it happens in a forestry coupe before sunrise, in a meatworks first aid room, on a construction site, beside a quarry, in a port, at a sporting club, or in a community hall.
Wherever people need healthcare, I believe we should be able to take it there.
Our Story
Iām Sarah Doran, a Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of clinical experience delivering healthcare across Australia. Throughout my career I have worked in emergency nursing, acute care, occupational health, community outreach and rural healthcare, giving me a broad understanding of the health challenges faced by working Australians.
I founded Worksite Health Tasmania because I recognised the need for accessible, high-quality, nurse-led occupational health services across Tasmania. My passion is supporting Tasmania's rural, industrial and regional workforce by delivering practical, evidence-based preventative healthcare directly to workplaces, helping businesses protect the health, safety and wellbeing of their employees.
Worksite Health Tasmania provides mobile occupational health services including workplace vaccinations, drug and alcohol testing, spirometry, respirator fit testing, occupational health surveillance and other workplace health programs tailored to industry needs.
I work collaboratively with general practitioners, occupational and specialist physicians, allied health professionals and NATA-accredited pathology laboratories to ensure workers receive coordinated, evidence-based care when further assessment, investigation or treatment is required.
Clinical quality and patient safety are at the centre of everything I do. I maintain a strong clinical governance framework, ensuring equipment is appropriately calibrated and verified, professional competencies remain current, and all services are delivered in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, legislation, manufacturer requirements and contemporary best practice.
Every worker is treated with professionalism, dignity and respect, with a commitment to confidentiality, impartiality and high-quality clinical care.
Building long-term relationships is important to me. If you'd like to learn more about Worksite Health Tasmania or discuss your organisation's workplace health needs, I'd be delighted to meet for a coffee, visit your workplace or arrange a Zoom meeting.
